EnduroGP round two in a nutshell…

Day 1: On day one at round two of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, Josep Garcia (KTM) gave his home fans the victory they came to see by winning EnduroGP by a very comfortable margin. TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon continued his strong form from round one to place as runner-up to Garcia, with GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona third.

Axel Semb (Fantic) powered clear to win the Junior class, while Romain Dagna (KTM) topped the Youth category.

Day 2: On day two, it looked like Garcia might take a double EnduroGP victory in Oliana. However, a crash entering the final lap hurt his pace as Verona began to attack. Boiling down to the final ACERBIS Cross Test of the day, Verona did enough to snatch victory by just 1.44 seconds. With Garcia second, Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team’s Samuele Bernardini secured his debut EnduroGP podium result with third.

Day two marked another victory for Semb in the Junior class, while this time it was Pietro Scardina (Fantic) who won the Youth category.

The Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship continues with round three’s Polisport GP of Sweden on May 23-25.
