FIM EnduroGP set for exciting 2026 season finale at Forsiteservices GP of Wales

The Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship readies itself for the seventh and final round of the 2026 season this weekend, 7-9 August, in Rhayader, Wales.

After an exciting and action-packed six rounds, the 2026 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship is set for an incredible conclusion at the Forsiteservices GP of Wales. Set to welcome the EnduroGP paddock for the third time to Rhayader, this year also marks the first time that the Rhayader & District MCC club will host the final round of the championship.

Building on their past two years, the organising club have worked tirelessly to ensure this weekend will be their best one yet. Along with devising a world class course and series of special tests, they are also laying on a wealth of entertainment, trade stands and exhibitors, music and more to ensure it will be a season highlight.

Joining our stars of EnduroGP will be multiple wildcard standouts. Five-time SuperEnduro World Champion Billy Bolt (Husqvarna) will take to the start line in Rhayader, along with Hard Enduro legend Jonny Walker (Triumph), fresh from the recent Red Bull Romaniacs.

Garcia aiming for Akrapovic Super Test series win

The AKRAPOVIC Super Test will get racing underway on Friday evening. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia leads the series by eight points over TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon.

Enduro2 and Enduro3 titles set to go down to the wire

Last time out at the Polisport GP of France, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia won the 2026 EnduroGP World Championship, along with clinching the Enduro1 title to cement himself as a nine-time champion. With the pressure off the Spaniard’s shoulders, Garcia can focus on putting the finishing touches to his 2026 campaign. With his current EnduroGP class win tally standing at 48, he could close out Sunday with a record-shattering 50 victories to his name.

The fight for EnduroGP vice-champion is expected to go down to the wire between Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona and TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon. Verona is only five points ahead of the Pichon in third. However, Pichon has outscored Verona during the last three rounds and will be determined to carry that momentum into Wales this weekend.

The remainder of the top five looks set to be settled between the Sherco Racing Factory duo of Steve Holcombe and Hamish Macdonald in fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the Enduro2 class, Verona holds a slender six-point lead over Pichon in second. Verona is aiming to win his third consecutive Enduro2 title, while Pichon is hunting down his first senior class championship since winning the Junior Enduro title back in 2022.

The Enduro3 category sees Holcombe lead the way by six points over Beta Factory Team’s Brad Freeman. As two of the most-decorated EnduroGP riders in the paddock, both will be hoping to secure the world championship on home soil.

Expotrade Women’s Enduro class set for final round

In the Expotrade FIM Women’s Enduro World Championship, RIEJU Factory Team’s Rachel Gutish was crowned world champion in Portugal, but behind her it’s all but settled. A four-rider, closely-fought battle for the silver and bronze medal positions is expected, while the Expotrade FIM Junior Women’s Enduro World Cup should go down to the wire too.

Lying second, RIJEU Factory Team’s Rosie Rowett holds a seven-point advantage over ET James Sherco UK’s Nieve Holmes in third. Rowett will enter the final round in a confident mood having raced to a double victory in Rhayader last year.

For Holmes, the pressure will be on. She is only one point clear of Ambiance Moto’s Justine Martel in fourth, with Marine Lemoine (KTM) a further three points back in fifth.

The Expotrade FIM Junior Women’s Enduro World Cup sees France’s Lorna Lafont (Husqvarna) arrive in Wales with a 19-point lead over her fellow countrywoman Charlene Boudon (Fantic) in second.

Elgari favourite for honours in Tsubaki Junior Enduro

The Tsubaki Junior Enduro World Championship sees TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Alberto Elgari start as favourite to clinch the world title. With a 21-point lead, the young Italian could be crowned world champion for the first time on Saturday if he secures victory.

After what’s proven to be a terrific second half of the season for Triumph Factory Racing’s Leo Joyon, the Frenchman has moved into second overall ahead of the final round. Joyon holds a five-point advantage over his fellow countryman Team KTM Pro Racing Sport’s Romain Dagna in third.

With Dagna 16 points clear of NSA Racing’s Kevin Cristino in fourth, it’s likely the final championship podium placings will be decided between Elgari, Joyon and Dagna in Wales.

In the Junior1 category, Elgari leads the way over Joyon, while Dagna has a comfortable lead over Cristino in the Junior2 class.

Scardina champion elect in Putoline Oil Youth Enduro

TM MOTO Costa Ligure’s Pietro Scardina has a virtual grasp on the Putoline Oil Youth Enduro World Championship as we enter the Forsiteservices GP of Wales. Claiming five victories from the last six race days has resulted in him extending his championship lead out to 19 points.

Team KTM Pro Racing Sport’s Simone Cagnoni is second overall. The Italian must win on Saturday to keep his chances of winning the world title alive ahead of Sunday. Fantic Factory Racing’s Valentin Mersin holds third, with WP Eric Auge’s Yago Dominguez eight points behind in fourth.
