FIM Hard Enduro World Championship confirms 9-round global calendar for 2026

The FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (HEWC) has confirmed its nine-round calendar for the 2026 season, delivering a truly global championship spanning Europe, Africa, and North America.

With dates now finalised, the season will run from April through October, bringing together legendary events, iconic locations, and a demanding mix of endurance and technical racing that defines hard enduro at the highest level.

Our goal for 2026 was clear: build a compact, world-class calendar that works for riders, teams and organisers, and gives fans an unforgettable season,” said HEWC Championship Director Ross Whitehead. “With nine rounds across some of the most iconic and demanding terrain on the planet, we believe this is a big step forward for the series.

New era, new destinations
France will open the 2026 campaign with 24MX Alestrem Hard Enduro on 17–19 April, the much-loved Southern French event stepping into a prime early-season slot. 24MX Alestrem has long been a rider favourite and now looks set to welcome the Hard Enduro World Championship back to French soil

From there, the series moves to Portugal for Extreme XL Lagares (1–3 May), before heading to the rugged mountains of Idaho, USA, where Silver Kings Hard Enduro (18–20 June) will once again showcase North America’s premier hard enduro terrain.

At mid-season, the championship will travel to Italy for the first of two rounds, beginning in a new location with Abestone Rodeo Miravalle in 10 –12 July.

Sweden joins the World Championship
One of the major highlights of the new calendar is the addition of Forza Orza in Orsa Grönklitt, Sweden, on 20–22 August 2026 — the first time Sweden will host a round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.

Set in classic Scandinavian terrain of forests, climbs, and vistas over Lake Orsasjön, Forza Orza will bring a fresh challenge for riders and a new festival of hard enduro for fans in Northern Europe.

Classic finales in Italy, Lesotho, Turkey and Spain
Following the Swedish debut, the championship will head south to a second Italian round in September with Wild Woods Extreme, before returning to some of the series’ most iconic late-season stops.

Roof of Africa, The Mother of Hard Enduro”, will continue to play a decisive role in the title fight following its dramatic 2025 finale, while Sea to Sky and Hixpania retain their status as fan-favourite festival events to close out the year.

Building on 2025 momentum
The 2026 championship builds on a landmark 2025 season, which saw intense title battles, a packed Roof of Africa finale in Lesotho, and world champions crowned at the FIM Awards Ceremony in Lausanne, Switzerland.

With a more standardised event structure, enhanced paddock presentation, and a growing global footprint, HEWC continues to evolve into a unified festival of racing, fans, and destinations — connecting riders, organisers, and partners under one championship banner.
