FIM X-Trial World Championship Lisbon event cancelled

The local organiser of the FIM X-Trial World Championship event scheduled to take place in Lisbon (Portugal) on 12 April 2026 has informed the FIM and the championship promoter, Esdeux Organisation, of the decision to cancel the event.

Despite the efforts made in recent weeks, the local organiser has indicated that the necessary technical and organisational conditions required to stage the event in accordance with the standards of the FIM X-Trial World Championship could not be secured.

The FIM and Esdeux Organisation acknowledge this decision and regret that the Lisbon event will not take place. They would like to thank Portuguese fans for their interest in the championship and express their hope to return to Lisbon in the future under circumstances that will allow the organisation of a world-class X-Trial competition.

Following this cancellation by the local organiser, the Lisbon round will not be replaced. The final round of the 2026 FIM X-Trial World Championship will take place in Tarragona, Spain, on April 18.
