The 2026 Maglia Azzurra Is Unveiled At The MXGP Of Italy

MONTEVARCHI (Italy) 20 June 2026 — The new graphics of the Maglia Azzurra, the official uniform of the Italian national off-road teams, were unveiled this weekend at the MXGP of Italy in Montevarchi, round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, after first being presented during the Trial GP in Camerino.

At Montevarchi, the 2026 jersey was revealed following Saturday's qualifying sessions, presented first to the media and then to the public during the Paddock Show. FMI President Giovanni Copioli, accompanied by institutional representatives, and Thomas Traversini, Manager of Team MXoN Italy  and the riders present, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Andrea Adamo, Fantic Factory Racing MXGP’s Alberto Forato, Honda HRC Petronas’ Valerio Lata, and Beddini Racing Ducati Factory MX2 Team’s Ferruccio Zanchi  officially presented the National Team's new look to fans inside the circuit. The Mayor of Montevarchi, Silvia Chiassai Martini and local representatives also joined the celebration on stage, posing alongside the riders to present the Maglia Azzurra.

    

The Maglia Azzurra is more than a uniform. It is a symbol of identity, belonging, and tradition that carries the values and history of Italian motorcycling. The tricolore blends with the unmistakable azzurro, rendered in different shades to create a modern and distinctive design. The jersey will be worn by every off-road team called upon to represent Italy in international competition.

The reactions from riders, media, and the public were strongly positive, reflecting the symbolic weight of a jersey that stands for the history, the successes, and the pride of Italian motorcycling.

Thomas Traversini: "Last time in Ernée was pretty good. We had a really strong result with a very young team, and this year we have strong riders in both classes too, so I think we're ready to fight for every position. In a one-event race you always need a bit of luck and everything has to roll the right way, but the boys are showing they're there today, and across the whole championship they've been at the front. I'd expect them to keep that level all season, and in the end we'll have a strong team."
