Zach Pichon takes Akrapovic Super Test series win with German victory

TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon has secured the 2025 AKRAPOVIC Super Test series win with victory at the seventh and final round of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship in Zschopau, Germany.

  • Zach Pichon sets the fastest time of the night
  • Victory for Pichon secures him the overall series win

The POLISPORT GP of Germany roared into life for the seventh and final round of the 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship with the AKRAPOVIC Super Test. A full arena of spectators were treated to some world-class racing as competitors took to the track in earnest in Zschopau.

As the season finale, the focus was firmly on who would end the night as the overall series winner. With a slender five point lead entering Zschopau, TM MOTO Boano Factory Enduro Team’s Zach Pichon had the edge on his closest rival, KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia, but not enough to ease the night’s pressure.

As riders filtered through, it was RIEJU Factory Team’s Dominik Olszowy who set the benchmark for the EnduroGP frontrunners. Taking to the track as part of the penultimate head-to-head pairing, Pichon knew he needed to better Olszowy’s time. With an all-out attack, the Frenchman did exactly that, beating Olszowy by 0.68 seconds. The pressure was now on Garcia to respond.

With the crowd on their feet, Garcia and GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona began their timed run. The KTM rider was clearly pushing hard, but a couple of minor mistakes saw him unable to get near Pichon’s time.

With Garcia taking third, behind Pichon and Olszowy, the TM MOTO rider could celebrate both his first AKRAPOVIC Super Test victory of the season and the overall series win.

Behind the top three, it was Fantic Factory Racing Team’s Albin Norrbin in fourth, with Verona completing the top five. Home favourite, Sherco Racing Factory’s Jeremy Sydow ended his night in sixth.

In the Junior Enduro category, Germany’s Milan Schmusser (Beta) clocked the fastest time, while Team KTM Pro Racing Sport’s Romain Dagna was quickest in the Youth Enduro class.

The Expotrade Women’s Enduro class saw HRC Honda’s Francesca Nocera set a blisteringly fast time to win by over nine seconds.

Zach Pichon (TM MOTO): “I’m super happy to come away with tonight’s victory and the overall series win. This was a big goal of mine this weekend and it’s amazing to have achieved it. Thank you to my team, family and sponsors for their support. I’m excited now for the rest of the GP.”
